Stewkley Players are committed to provide a safe environment during the forthcoming production run of Ben Hur. All government guidance will be followed. Please check back here before you come to the performance to see if this guidance has changed.
We want everyone to feel comfortable, to enjoy the production and to leave the hall feeling safe and entertained.
Before the show: If you are feeling unwell, please do not come to the hall.
Test yourself: Everyone is encouraged to do a lateral flow test before they come to the show but we will not be checking that this has been done.
Ventilation: The hall will be ventilated using opened doors and windows. As the play nights are in mid-November, this might mean the hall is cooler than usual and you may want to bring an extra layer to ensure you are comfortable when sitting through the performance.
Masks: Wearing of masks is not a mandatory government policy but we encourage you to wear one when entering and leaving the hall and moving around in the lobby and common areas. The front of house team and bar staff will be wearing masks (unless medically exempt).
Hand sanitiser: Hand sanitisers will be available outside the main door into the building. Please use it before entering the hall.
Social distancing: Our Front of House team will help ensure queues don’t get bunched up in the bar area, kitchen hatch area and in the lobby. Please play your part by being aware of others around you. There will be separate queues for those people arriving with their tickets and those without tickets or collecting tickets.
Signs and Instructions: Please follow any instructions given by a member of the Front of House team or written on signs posted in the hall.
After the show: Fire doors will be opened at the end of the show to enable the audience to exit by several different routes.
This guidance is current as of 25 October 2021
